FLORIDA HEALTH DEPARTMENT: The Florida Department of Health supports mothers and families through programs focused on prenatal care, healthy pregnancies, infant health, breastfeeding support, nutrition, immunizations, and early childhood development. It also connects families with local services and resources designed to improve the health and well-being of both mothers and children.
FLORIDA HEALTHY START: Florida Healthy Start supports pregnant women, new mothers, babies, and families by connecting them with services such as prenatal education, care coordination, breastfeeding support, parenting resources, and referrals to health and social services. The program is designed to improve pregnancy outcomes and help babies and families get a healthier start.
WIC (FLORIDA NUTRITION FOR WOMEN, INFANTS, AND CHILDREN): Florida’s Women, Infants, and Children program helps eligible pregnant women, new mothers, infants, and young children access nutritious foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and health-care referrals. Its goal is to support healthy pregnancies, healthy growth, and strong starts for Florida families.
SOCIETY OF ST VINCENT DE PAUL: The Society of St. Vincent de Paul helps mothers and families by providing compassionate assistance. Local chapters also connect families with community resources and offer personal support during difficult times.

LA LECHE LEAGUE: La Leche League supports mothers and families by providing breastfeeding education, encouragement, and peer-to-peer support from trained volunteer leaders. It helps parents with common breastfeeding questions and challenges while promoting informed, confident feeding choices.
FLORIDA CAR SEAT PROGRAM: Florida car seat safety programs help parents and caregivers make sure children are riding safely by providing car seat education, proper installation checks, and guidance on choosing the right seat for a child’s age and size. Many local programs also offer low-cost or free car seats to eligible families.
POST ABORTION HEALING: Rachel’s Vineyard Ministry provides confidential, supportive retreats for women and men who are experiencing emotional or spiritual pain after an abortion. Programs focus on healing, reconciliation, and renewal in a nonjudgmental environment, while also offering resources and support for affected families.
FOOD PANTRIES: Food pantries help mothers and families facing food insecurity by providing free groceries, pantry staples, and sometimes fresh produce, baby food, or other household essentials. Many also connect families with additional community resources and assistance programs.
CASA DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: CASA domestic violence programs support mothers and families experiencing abuse by providing services such as emergency shelter, safety planning, counseling, advocacy, and access to community resources. They also help survivors navigate legal protections and work toward greater safety, stability, and independence.
CLOTHES TO KIDS: Clothes To Kids provides new and quality used clothing, shoes, and other essentials to children from low-income or crisis-affected families at no cost. The program helps parents meet an important basic need while giving children the confidence and dignity to attend school comfortably.
LEGAL AIDE: Legal aid programs help mothers and families who may not be able to afford an attorney by providing free or low-cost legal advice, representation, and assistance. They can help with issues such as housing, child support, family law, domestic violence protections, public benefits, and other civil legal matters.
